I was told it carries the hormones that you &  baby needs for growth & development. I have one that's 5cm.

Mine was that big and it wasn't dangerous but Doc went ahead and ruptured it. Still hurts but most go away on their own.

If your doctor didn't tell you it was dangerous then it is not. I had one at the begining of my pregnancy and all I had to do was let it be. As long as it doesn't get any bigger you should be fine, just stay out of and away from stressful situations. And it will just go away.
