Spotting is normal for some, but not me!

Hello! I am 23 years old and always have normal periods. I never spot and never usually have cramps or any kind of symptoms. I should have gotten my period today or possibly tomorrow. I noticed a few days ago (about 2) that I am very LIGHTLY spotting. I know that this in normal in some women, but it has never ever happened to me. I also took 2 pregnancy tests and they are negative. I also have felt some pain in my lower abdomen area and on my side, sort of a cramp type of feeling, but it passes pretty quickly. Should I be worried, or seek medical attention??

Ok guys I originally posted this Jan 29th, its now the 9th!!! Still no period, pregnancy test (I took last week negative) and spotting came back again today... the spotting is VERY minimal, I made an appointment for Wed. because I am totally freaked, I spoke with one Dr. who said it sounds like implantation bleeding... what do you think??

If it was an ectopic pregnancy the tests would still be coming up positive.

I wasnt really trying, but I did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend of over 4 years. I guess I more worried simply because the tests say negative and this never happened before. I am scared it might be a medical thing... or what about epitopic pregnancy?? If epitopic pregnancy was the case the tests would be positive correct? Thank you all for your help!!!!

I could just be an abnormal period. Even though you say that you have always have normal periods common things like stress can cause your cycle to become a little funky. Also, the spotting could be implantation bleeding in which case if you are pregnant you should test in about a week (if you miss your period) since it would be too early to show up right now. If you are concerned at all though the best thing to do would be to see your doctor.
