Is labor coming soon?!?!

I need some help. I think that I lost my mucus plug last sat. (7/16). Tuesday morning I woke up & couldn't feel my baby move & he is a mover. So I went to the hospital, they hooked me up to the heart beat monitor. I was so relieved to hear his heart beat. The nurse came in & checked on me & asked if I was in any pain. I told her no & she looked at me weird & I asked if I was having contractions. She then told me yes, they were every 2-7 min.s for about 45 mins to an hour. They gave me a shot to stop the contractions & they finally stopped. She then checked to see  if my cervix was open & it wasn't. Last night & today I have had some tighting in my lower stomach & this afternoon I had some dull achy pain in back.  The last couple days I have a a watery discharge. I am going crazy thinking that I am going to have my baby soon & I am so worried because I am only 31 weeks. I am so ready to have him, but not right now. He is still too small & I would hate to see him with tubes coming out of him. Oh & also my dr told me to do the same active level as before but I figured that I should be bed rest after what I went through on Tuesday & only being 30 weeks then.

Yes, I am very surprised that they didn't put be on best rest. My contractions were consistant & coming every 2-7 mins even tho I had no pains. They were consistant until they gave me a shot to stop them. I think the only reason why they didn't put me on bed rest is because my cervix is closed.

I ended up going to l&d. They check the fluid that was leaking & told me that it is not my water. Thank god! They kept me for about an hour just to monitor me. And everything still looks good & the baby is doing great!

I'd go to the doctor and get checked out. I'm surprised they didn't put you on bed rest. Although, if the contractions weren't consistant I would think they were bh contractions and not real labor.

If you had a watery discharge you chould go to the doctor and make sure that your water did not break or that your not leaking fluid. I would call the doctor right now and let them know whats up! Better safe than sorry. I know its not ideal to have your baby now but if for some reason you do have your baby, it has good chance of surviving now! Im 30 weeks and everything that I have read says that if I were to have my baby this week that it would have over 90% chance of surviving. Good luck and post what your doctor says if you dont mind! Im interested in what they tell you!
