Hi!
It sounds like your doctor must have thought you had some type of infection.  I am not totally clear on what he/she is thinking.

If you were my patient, I would start with thyroid function and FSH (your prolactin is normal) on cycle day 3.  I would then ask you to use ovulation predictors on cycle days 11-16, and record what day(s) they are positive.  I would ask you to do a progesterone level on day 21.  I would ask your husband to do a semen analysis too.

If all of this lab work looked good, the next thing I would do is a hysterosalpingogram(hsg) which is a dye study of the uterus to be sure that the tubes are not blocked.

If your blood tests and ovulation predictors are normal it means you are ovulating.

If your tubes were blocked, I would send your for IVF.

If your tubes are open, I would then consider laparoscopy to rule out endometriosis.

If all of the above tests were done and there were no problems, it is just a matter of more time.  If they showed a problem, then I would work to correct the problem.

I'm not sure where you are writing from, and I hope you have access to these types of tests!
Good luck!
