hey guys thank you for all the help and advice you have given well i did find out i was not pregnant but did not fail to give up so we tryed again and my last period was the 14 th april and i missed my period had a home test done and it was positive and had one done at the doctors and that was also positive i should think im a little over 4 weeks pregnant early and full of exitment good luck to all the others out there x
hi there i also have 2 kids and an tryin for another with my new partner have been for 17 months but when i was pregnant with my 2nd child i had a period that came a few days early and was heavyer than usual i later found out that i was 1 week int the conception process at the time of my period but then at a later date i went 2 the toilet and the blood flew from me over spilled my pants and i heard something plop down the toilet so i assumed i had a miscarrage but the doc arranged for a ultrasound l8r in the wk there 2 my delight i saw my little baby girl on the screen at just over 7 wks gone. so if i where u i would wait another wks or so and do another test or ask ur doc for a blood test/ hope this has been of some use and good luck x x

It would certainly not be a bad idea to get a check up, but it sounds to me like your period has come early because of a hormonal imbalance. It is fairly common for women to have an "off" cycle every now and then. It most likely will not be a regular problem for you, as it sounds like you have pretty healthy ovaries. Do you have any boys in there? I guess that part is really up to you other half.
A good rule of thumb is: If you are filling more than a large maxi pad in less than an hour (with blood) you should be seen in the emergency room. They can do an exam to rule out any lacerations (cuts/tears) and if it is hormones, can give you a prescription to slow down the bleeding.

There is a possibility that you might have a tubal pregnancy (when a fertilized egg implants in the fallopian tubes). I would highly check with your regular gynecologist if you think that the bleeding is irregular or too soon for your cycle especially if you have a pain in one area of your body.
