progesterone level questions

by kes0819, Jul 16, 2009 12:01PM
Hello.  I am currently on 100mg of chlomid (second round).  This will be my fourth month of this cycle.  The last 3 months my progesterone level has been anywhere from 8-10.  This month, my progesterone level is at a 54.  It has only been 10 days since I ovulated.  I am curious as to what this could be mean?  Could I be preg?

Hi!
Yes, you could be pregnant.  If you are that is an excellent progesterone level.
Unfortunately, I have seen high progesterone levels in patients who are not pregnant-so do the pregnancy test.  It should be positive by 14 days post ovulation, or even sooner if you can have your MD do a blood test.
I hope so!
Good luck!

Well, I can tell you that I just went to get a blood test at about 15-16 dpo and my progesterone was 56 (I am on 200mg prometrium/twice daily) and I am pregnant. Not sure if an hpt would show a positive yet but it's worth a try! Good luck!
