I have it as well. And I totally agree with the ladies above. There's no need to stress to much about it, as long as the doctors know they will give you antibiotics (IV) like laurpatsoph said. It's very common and if you have any questions or anything you can always message me. But don't worry! You and your little one are going to be okay :) and just like jaden said, she had it with 2 out of 3 children, just because you have it with one pregnancy doesn't mean you'll have it with another.

It's VERY common, I tested positive with 2 of 3 of my boys. With the first I receives only half of what I should have but he was fine. With the second I had planned a home water birth, I got up to take a shower in the morning when I woke up and my water broke in the shower, I called my midwife immediately and she jumped right in her car but was about a half hour away so she ended up missing the birth but he was perfectly fine. No problems what so ever :)

I have it.  Its just a bacteria that lives inside of you and can be passed to the baby if your not given 4 hrs worth of anitibiotics (through IV) before you give birth.  If the 4 hrs is not completed before birth they will test and treat the baby. Unfortunatley, with GBS we don't have the luxury to stay at home while our contractions get closer together.  We have to go to the hospital to start the antibiotics. My doctor said it's common and i shouldn't worry about it.  They didn't tell me i would have to be there for 2 days.  I'll have to ask that at my next apt. Good luck!

Well where I live you have to stay at the hospital 2 days anyways.. but I'm assuming to just make sure they killed the bacteria and you didn't pass it on to your newborn (which is very rare so don't freak yourself out)

Youll get antibiotics while you're in labor. It's nothing to worry about many ladies have the same thing
