That's the important part. Never go into it thinking it will happen on the first try, and don't look into every symptom or sign. I've seen women give up after only two or three months, and statistically less than 50% conceive in the first 6 months, while 85% will conceive in the first year. Once your periods are regular, predicting ovulation can be simple.

Don't feel like a disappointment. From your posts, it seems like this is your first month even trying. (correct me if I'm wrong though) To learn when you're ovulating you can use OPK's, checking cervical mucous, or BBT. I've not personally used these methods (I did the don't try don't prevent method) but I know a little about them. When you're ovulating your body produces mucous that resembles egg whites, and is EWCM. OPK's will generally show a surge when ovulation is about to occur. I have no idea about BBT, only that when pregnant your body temperature gets a little higher.
