So frikin confused!

Ok so i thought i was 14 weeks pregant thats what this app and the 3 other ones i have say i went for a check up tonight and my normal doctor wasney in so i jsut saw the other.one that was there (i just go to a walk in clinic because its more convient with my work hours) so the doctor askes me when my last period was (jan 9) then he told me i was only twelve weeks along. Ok so i understand that i didnt conceive until like january 25ish so tecnically the baby would only be 12 weeks right? But arnt i still considered to to be 14 weeks? Im so confused.
Also asked him if id be able to hear baby on the doppler he said not until like 20 weeks or more... that didnt seem right to me. He is getting me in for an ultra sound in the next couple weeks though. I dunno im just so confused and i just wanna.crtui

At your 20 week scan you will know for sure how far you are. I ended up measuring a week further than the due date from my last period. Until than, go with your last period. If your 16 weeks from your last period than go with that date :)

My doctor with my daughter said that if they use the doppler they can hear the heart beat starting anywhere from about 8-12 weeks it just depends. I heard heartbeat at 10 weeks with all of my pregnancies.

I saw My babies heartbeat at 6 weeks and heard it at 10 weeks. Must just be your doctors preference to wait that long! Congrats on your lil one.

My due date is Dec 9 and my conception date is march 18 ish. U should b able to hear and see your lil peanut. Lol... I even got a pic. I'd call another doc!!! :) good luck...

I just went yesterday and herd heartbeat at 6 weeks 4 days...  With the sonogram stick thing they do vaginal...

Thanks guys :) i think i am going to try a new doctor  just to see what they say. Ive talked to a few ppl that have been to see him and they said he wasent very good. Frikin doctors sometime haha

My last period was jan 9th also , my date date is oct 15th the baby is supposed to be 2 weeks behind that's probably why he said 12 weeks but I got to hear my baby's heart beat at 13w2d !!  I suggest u change doctors

I understand what you are feeling...wanting to hear something. I didn't hear my son till I was 17 weeks on doppler. My midwife tried earlier but he was sitting way back in my womb or something. I cried because I really just wanted to hear him...like you are feeling now. But, I was reassured that everything was okay by other women on here that waited and everything was fine. It has only been in the last 10-15 years that Mother's have been able to get ultrasounds early. They weren't meant to be used so much...just for high risk situations. In fact, I never had a ultrasound at all and everything was fine. Sometimes all of this 'checking' can lead to a lot of angst instead of reassurance. So, please sit back and relax. And as far as the dating...I would go with 14 weeks.

Im just so frustrated i see so many other women on here that u/s and hear the heart beat so early, i havent heard or seen anything and i just want something to tell me everything is going alright

I heard the heartbeat at 8 weeks on the doppler

If you're in the UK then they wont check using the doppler till 20wks or so, thats quite nornal here. When you get your dating scan, you will get your answer, until they do the measurements they wont give you an accurate date (and even then you will be told that it is just an estimate!) Dont stress about it, you'll find out soon :)

With my daughter they did ultrasound and said she was due nov 6 but i knew what day i got pregnant cause i didnt have sex on regular basis. So the due date from date i had sex n conceived is the date she was born oct 30

I was 12 weeks when they heard the baby from doppler. Im 14 weeks from my lmp 1-12 due oct 18. But ultrasound measure baby a week younger.

Ya go by ur last period and that's how many weeks u r n the baby is 2 wks behind that as fat as I know example I'm almost 6 wks by my last period so my baby is 4 wks... Also I thought by 16wks u can hear the heart beat on the doppler... Is this ur ob telling u this or ur normal care doctor??
