you know it just depends how your body reacts to getting back from having a hormones in your system, there is no proof that mirena is the cause for people not getting pregnant right away, most couples it takes 6 months to a year to conceive.

I however have had the mirena 2, and feel pregnant within 3 months of getting it removed both times, last one i got removed this year on june 1 and got my BFP AUg 29.

My suggestion to you is do not stress about it, take at least 2 cycles to for your lining to build back up, take your prenatal, and just have fun. As the other posters i was part of that group they are talking about. So every woman is different. But best of luck to you

Hi There!

You may want to look up the forum on here titled "How long did it take you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal?" It is a great forum of women in the same boat as you. I visited it nearly everyday for 10 months. It took me that long to conceive after having the Mirena removed. There are some women that get pregnant right away like Sakinah69. For others, it takes longer for your body to regulate. Or, there is always the possibility that it just isn't your month.

I know I felt pregnant nearly every month after the removal but when I actually was pregnant...I felt pretty normal. Go figure! So it can be confusing and frustrating. Check out that group. I think you will find it to be very supportive and helpful.

Best wishes to you!

Some have a lot of trouble with Mirena. They don't tell you it can cause early Menopause or cause cysts on the ovaries, depression, weight gain, heart palpitations etc. I had mine in for 3 years it was pure hell. However, I have had it out for nearly 3 months and in those 3 months I have fallen pregnant 2 times, first time was a miscarriage, and I am pregnant again now. I am in my early 40s so time is running out for me. Good luck to you.
