It's also possible you might have been pregnant and miscarried (and in very early miscarriages your body will sometimes just absorb everything). This would cause a positive test and could make it possible to get the level reading you did.

With a blood test level of 3, no. What dye color were your tests, and how long did it take for the lines to appear? No pregnancy test on the planet is sensitive enough to read an hCG of 3, simply because anything below 5 is deemed not pregnant. Are you having another test done? If your level increases (usually they want it to be 20-25 and above to be positive for pregnancy) then that would be a different story, but a level of 3 only is a negative.
