Is this a postive test?

my sis in law just sent this to me... is it a positive opk or no? the line looks pretty dark.. and if it is postive does that mean she will ovulate tomorrow?

I would most definetly think that it is positive, but I would do another test to be sure, maybe one with a different reading.

i wonder how much liquid she had to drink before she tested yesterday.. b/c i know u aren't suppose to drink a whole lot before testing.. she just tested again at 3pm and another almost positive test..  .. this is only her second month of ttc and her first month of using opks.. but  she has a 1 year old who was a surprise baby

That's so weird. I wonder why she's getting funky lines like that, all over the place?! How long has she been trying?

do you think it'll take a week for her to get a positive? I told her to test again at 4 today and it should be positive.. oops! my bad : )  she said she has been getting light tests since thursday and then yesterday no line at all and then today that dark line

I would say it is a positive. My pregnancy test I took in June was the same way, one line lighter than the other one, and now I'm 14weeks... Good luck to your sister in law

She can still BD. Sperm can live up to 5 days or so. Tell her to start BDing now, if she isn't already, because more than likely she will be within the week.

Yes that is positive.. Of sure. Tell her to get one more test, and retest if she wants to be for sure. But I am almost positive that test is positive

Yes, thats a positive result.Its very light because she doesn't have that much time, when the test comes out very light , means that your hormones are building the fetus, if she make the same test( well I prefered the digital one, expensive but accurate) she will see that the result will come positive,I had the same problem at the beginning, my line on the EPT was very light, i did it 3 days after and Boom, here we go again... Just go digital, you will be very satisfied with the fast and clear results... Good Luck and God Bless!!!

tell her to test again for the next 3 days for a more positive result, the fact it is a light line shows she is fertile and should start trying now, as you have a 5 day fertile period also over the next 3 days it should get darker otherwise she has missed her ovulation as you get a lighter line when you have missed ovulation as well.

thanks toni! yeah i never had to use opks i just kind of got a surprise when af was due ... lol.  she is on her way over to my house to show me in person  ( oh geesh) .. i told her to take another one later in the day at like 4 or something

I would tell her to get the smile face one's next time, they are much easyer to read!! By this pic it doesnt look like a pos, but I know taking a pic can make it look light then what it is! The 1st time I use opks i always had a line, i did notice that when I was getting closer to Oing the line went gone then it started back up. Tell her to hang in there!! It is just way easyer to have sex everyother day then to deal with opks!! LOL

my understanding is that on an OPK for it to be positive...the test line needs to be AS DARK or DARKER than the control line....in this case it's lighter.
