When will I get back to normal?

Hello!
Well its day 3 after m/s, still bleeding and I am cramping soooo bad, I had to go to the Dr. today to get a u/s to see what's wrong cause it was freaking me out!  Nothing was wrong, I'm just having extreme cramps. Ouch!
Anyway, when will I get my normal cycle back?  how long does it usually take to O again? Does everyone go through this horrible pain (as in cramps)? AND, should I expect this to happen again next time I get pregnant?  
I just want to know because I want to start ttc as soon as possible.  Dr. said that they usually like to wait atleast one cycle, that's fine but when will I get at least that first cycle?

I'm not going to actively try to get pregnant soon, but I'm also not going to avoid it.  Let nature take its course, it seems that nature has taken its course by having this misscarriage.  I want my normal cycle back!

I didnt get AF until 4 wks and some days after my D&C. They say it usually can take up to 6 wks. I was told you ovulate 2 weeks after the MC. Women who have MC go on to have normal healthy pregnancies. So it doesn't mean it will happen again. Im so sorry for loss! However, my doctor told me to wait 2 normal cycles before trying again because trying to soon can sometimes cause MC.

My doc said the same thing about counting your m/c as your first day and that was true for me and I got pregnant before my next cycle, I wasnt supposed to though, but I havent had any complications because of it and I have been up until I hit 12 weeks closely monitored.

Just think it would be wonderful for you to get AF in 28 days but if you don't, don't get upset...I had my mc the day after Christmas, then had my period the last week of January THEN I had a 45 day cycle-didn't get AF till March...thought for sure I was prego but it was just the mc messing my body and cycle up...then I had a 30 day cycle...then I went back to 28 days...It might take awhile for your body to get back to normal...it is frustrating but it is normal...good luck!

Well My Dr. called me today and said that my hcg levels had gone down to 98 On sunday it was 238 so aside from the cramping (which is horrible btw) it seems that everything is coming down fast.  So I hope that by the end of this week my levels will be back to 0 and then I guess I will get my period in 28 days.  I really hope to get back to normal,  all I want to do and maybe since I feel so weak is to work out and go to the gym and loose about 15 lbs.  
I think that after I'm over this, I will resume my normal sex life, I'm not going to ttc but leave it up to my uterus to decide if I get pregnant or not.  If its in one cycle great of its not then better luck next time.

I miscarried last time on March 7th and my first period was March 29th. I had a D&C, which I think may make the recovery time until your next AF a little shorter. I know it is frustrating, but your body will start when it is ready. I also had pretty bad cramping, but the doc gave me some good pain meds.

WHen I m/c'd I didn't get my period until almost 8 weeks after.  The OBGYN said if I didn't get it after 8 weeks then to call him.  He also "recommended" waiting one cycle AFTER the m/c to give your body time to heal.  He said some say to wait 3 months, but that's usually for emtional healing.  Also, since many doctors offices don't even run tests until you've have 2-3 m/c's, so i wouldn't think your chances are any higher then before.  My m/c was my first pregnancy also and now that I am pregnant again I fear m/c'ing again.  but I just need to take it one day at a time.  Also, it took me 5 months after my m/c to get pregnant again.  It varies for everyone but know that you aren't the only one going through this and we are fortunate to have this website for support.

Im so sorry your going through this,unfortunately there isnt really any guessing for how long it will take.for some its alot sooner. others can take up to 6 weeks..there isnt any reason why you shouldnt go on to having an healthy pregnancy..i hope your body gets back to normal again so you can get to trying again,all the best....

So in other words I should count the m/s as if it were an af cycle?  So if I had my m/s on 6/15 then I should expect af around 7/15?

My doctor told me to count from the first day I started bleeding from my m/c. So, if it was 3 days ago, count from that day the normal amount of cycle days for you. Everyone is different but my body pretty much followed that pattern. I hope this helps.
