true or false

Is it true, that if your childs father pass away, and he is not on the birth certificate, you cant get ssi. For child.

They will probabaly need a DNA test from the baby and the fathers mother, father, or sibling to confirm that he is the father of the baby and then they will most likely give the baby SSI. I am not 100% sure that is exactly how it works but that is what happened with someone I know.

If you can get one of his parents to do the DNA test, you can get ssi. My friend did it and he wasnt on the bc.

Sounds right to me. If he isn't on the birth certificate he isn't legally the parent... but I can't say for sure.

Well if he is not on the birth certificate then there is no proof that he is the father. Unless you can somehow get a DNA test...
