i am a 27yr old female with a 0.4cm perimembranous VSD i recently came across a letter to my doctor from the hospital and it says i have a slightly enlarged left atrial side but all valves clear and no evidence of vegetational valve lesion,,, i was never informed of this so have no idea if i should be worried about this or not...
Although VSDs can lead to pulmonary hypertension, in your case, it likely has not (and likely will not) given its small or "restrictive" size. However, this should most definitely be thoroughly evaluated by an expert cardiologist.
A more appropriate forum for this question is probably in the general cardiology or heart disease forum.
