What is the best treatment

I had a ct scan done about 1 week ago.  I cannot get into a specialist for another month and hate waiting to know what to expect.  Impression of ct scan is (1). acute disc herniation, c5-6, left paracentral extending through the left neural foramen.. disc herniation of moderate degree. (2) small central herniated nucleus pulposus c7-t1 and post anterior cervical disc fusion c6-7 which looks ok.  what would be the normal course of treatment.

How is your pain doing?  From the sound of the report, if accurate, it sounds like you have a couple of disc herniations in your cervical spine.  Treatment depends on your clinical symptoms and other medical conditions, along w/ the imaging results.  I suggest you really try to call them again and try to get an appointment with the doctor who requested this scan.  Treatments range from medical (medications) to surgical.

best regards,
