Help me please!!!

I've had bad burping and farting with gas in my chest sides and everywhere else for over 2 months with no relief not when asleep not when taking ACV not from Prilosec Prevacid the GI cocktail, nothing! I don't really have heartburn which is why I don't understand it being GERD. I have anxiety to the twelfth power because of this, afraid that its my heart or lungs COPD, heart arteries clogged or my lungs because these are all the places it seems I feel the pain, the pressure, the stretching, the popping of bubbles, the sharp pains the throbbing!  What triggers it, nothing!!! I've barely eat and when I do it's a few crackers or some honeydew melon I can't eat anything or my chest area goes into overload and sends me to anxiety overdrive!  It also feels like I've torn or stretched all of the muscles across my chest area and the muscles or my lungs behind both ribs are being pulled away from each other causing it to feel swollen and throbbing.  I have been to the ER over 5 x's for this with diagnosis from anxiety to gerd to inflammation of the chest wall to a result from excessive coughing ( but I don't cough) to possible fluid around lungs or heart but the only test done were a blood work up, EKG, cr scan of heart and chest X-ray to rule out heart attack! Ok so I'm not having a heart attack but I still came to the ER because Im feeling something and seems to not go away no matter what I do! I have no insurance and can't work becouse of the anxiety I don't go anywhere but my couch unless its the ER because if I walk to much or over work myself I get faint and short of breath?! I'm so confused I'm a 30 yr. old female ex smoker I eat we'll used to eat bad but I don't think this is a major issue but I need help and advice some that won't cause me to lose my mind! Oh another thing, I jump out of my sleep a lot like I can't breath!

With a hiatal hernia the vagus nerve could again be part of the issue bcuz when it is compressed it can cause heart palps and anxiety.

Quitting all ur vices at once may have allowed u to feel this underlying condition that may have been there all along...so it is good u quit.

Good luck.

Thanks a bunch! I finally got into a doctors office and she called me her little mystery diagnosis case but promises to get me better no matter what it takes! God is good plus they came up with a possible hiatal hernia which wud make a lot of sense mixed with gerd producing anxiety wow medical and the body are so weird sometimes but I'm blessed to be here and get healthier I forgot to mention I stopped smoking, stop drinking sodas, stopped taking opiates and stopped eating unhealthy all the same day which is when my symptoms started about a few months ago which also maybe playing a major role in my feelings as well

Hi...it can be GERD, u do not have to have heart burn to have it and not eating will only make it worse as ur body will produce acids to break down the food and when there is no food to break down u will notice the pains more.

Also if u r bloating as I am surmising from ur gas pains description, then it can be also affecting ur vagus nerve,....and yes it is wise to rule out ne heart issues so do look to family medical history to help understand what this may be....but eat, try 5 to 6 smaller meals to help get something in u and use up that excess acid.

Anxiety and stress will trigger this more, so do try to relax....and exercise, move more as I know it is hard now, but slowly build up as it will help u feel better. Smoking can affect how u feel...and even if u quit could still play a role in all of this.....And a bad diet can also be a part of this...eat healthy....and like I said try to relax, find a hobby, like painting or crocheting....

U may want to visit the GERD forum here on MedHelp for other tips and info.http://www.medhelp.org/forums/show/333?camp=msc
