Thank you for the quick response. I’m from Macedonia (Eastern Europe). I’m 32 and had lost one child born with low blood levels two years ago. The baby didn’t survive. The doctors then decided to test my blood for Hughes and the result was: Hyper coagulate condition in pregnancy. I have to admit I was angry at them for not testing me before. Now I have good feeling about this pregnancy and I’m hoping for the best. The Aspirin I’m taking is gastro resistant and taking daily 100mg. Thank you for your support and I hope soon will have good news for you.

Hi,
Thank you for the update. It is good that the ultrasound result was fine. Low-dose aspirin therapy is sometimes prescribed during pregnancy to help prevent recurrent miscarriage or to treat other conditions. Factors such as your age and medical history will help determine the time allowed for you to discontinue aspirin. Talk to your doctor about this for proper management. Take care always.

Thank you for your answer. At the moment I'm not taking Aspirin becouse had abdominal pains last night. How long do you think I can pause from Aspirin? I'm 17 weeks pregnant and from ultrasound yesterday the baby and the placenta are doing great. Thank you.

Hi,
How are you? Women with Hughes syndrome who receive treatment during pregnancy often have pregnancy success rates of over 85%. It can result in a number of complications, especially if it remains untreated. This can be treated medically with aspirin and anticoagulants. Aspirin helps prevent the blood from clotting. However, few side effects may be observed such as nausea and stomach irritation. Check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Regular prenatal consult is essential. Take care and regards.

Hi.
Welcome, I have APS, better known as hughes syndrome in the UK.

I presume you live in the UK, as you called it hughes syndrome.

The best place to go for this is St Thomas,s in London.
Thats if you arent already there.

Keep me posted
