Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms do you feel? An immunoglobulins test is done to measure the level of immunoglobulins or antibodies in your blood. IgGs can be found in all body fluids. It is the most common antibody and are very important in fighting bacterial and viral infections. You can have another blood test done to see if the result is still the same or have further evaluation done. Take care an do keep us posted.
Try not to be scared. Stress of not knowing what it is can indeed lead to more symptoms and illnesses. Think positive, eat healthy and drink plenty of fluids. Talk to your doctor about his working diagnosis and management plan. This will help you feel better and in control. Hang on and hope to hear from you soon.
I am also having bouts of wooziness here and there (feeling faint), severe muscle aches and pains in my joints. Dont know if it has anything to do with anything but my (flip down) eyelids are bleach white and I now have developed Petechaei (spelling) and Purpura on my arms and legs (small). Generally feel just weak and exhausted all the time. It is starting to effect me daily now and im so tired of it. I've been sick over 4 months and still not driving due to the "woozy" spells. I have lost a total of 45 lbs in 10 months and all i do is lay around the past 4mo's. I eat 3 meals a day and have NOT lost my appitite.
Hi,
How are you? If you are having petecchae, purpura and pale mucosal lining in your eye, I recommend that you have your blood checked to rule out anemia and other blood-related conditions. Check with your doctor for proper management. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
I set up an appt and went in the other day. I had a complete physical and they drew 5 tubes of blood. (OUCH) I passed out of course, lol. Anyways he ckd my Iron and said it was normal, no anemia (shocked). BP/Cholesterol/sugar/thyroid are all perfect. Labs were done CPK -neg. RF is less than 10 (normal?), Sed Rate 12 (normal?), RPR negative.
I am waiting on the ANA (Lupus etc.), and the Lyme Disease Titter isn't back yet either. And also waiting on the Aldolase (muscle/liver damage)
He couldnt explain the Purpura and Petechiae either but my mother has MS and Aunt has Lupus so Im getting very worried. 4 months is a long time to be sick like this. I was also wondering if there may be a link to some kind of vitamin defic. ??
Ok, tests are back and you told me to keep you informed, I hope your still on here since I dont see that you replied to my last message. My ANA (all Autoimmune diseases) and also did Syphillis as well (he said not syph. in general but can show other things in it), Lyme Disease and Aldolase all came back neg. And per Dr request I also took a home preg. test. I am getting so scarred and starting think that others think it's in my head. The petechiae spots are more frequent now, some came and go and new ones come back in different spots and i also have a couple more Purpura spots than I had last week. What the heck is going on?
Between this message and the last one i sent you I think they have tested for everything. What to do next????
Dr diagnosed me with Myalsia for now since he can't find anything else. And Chronic Fatigue.
Hi,
How are you? The numerous tests you had rules out many conditions in our differentials. On the other hand, petechiae usually results from bleeding ofsmall blood vessels in the skin. It may also result from abnormalities in the blood-clotting mechanism or in the cells that help your blood to clot /platelets. Causes of low platelet counts include: intake of certain medications, Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), Idiopathic thromobocytopenic purpura (ITP), Leukemia, Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis. In infants, this is associated with infantile scurvy and Vitamin K deficiency. How was your platelet count from your blood tests? Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
