I forgot to mention, that X-Rays were taken from my chest and nothing found.
On the 16. of this month I have an appointment with a cardiologist in Las Cruces, NM. We are in Deming right now where there is no Cardiologist Praxis. The bloating and uncomfortness I feel in my stomach subsides after a couple of hours after a attack, like right now I do not feel anything, but I am very careful with eating to possibly prevent that from happening. Oh, I almost forgot - could this also be from taking Keflex for an infected tooth? That tooth will be pulled on Wednesday. I also wonder whether my left-over own teeth could be the culprit for damaging the lining of the coronary arteries, I have in mind to have the 9 teeth pulled when we are again in Arizona and I will get full dentures.
Imdur = 3 x 60 mg. The Hospital doctor in Conroe prescribed me a Beta Blocker. I filled the prescription but did not take that med because my research came up with the notion that it cannot be taken when taking Nitroglycerin. The Nitros I really depended on....
I so sincerely hope that the cardiologist can come to the conclusion to give me a Calcium Channel Blocker. All articles I read mention the fact that this is a med which should be given first for Princemetal's. I would be glad if I would have to intake nothing like always before. The attacks come out of the blue, even when I was in the middle of a meditation.
Thanks so much for your comment, Dr. Santos.
In between attacks I feel normal. Yes, the Doppler Echo was done, I was in different tubes several times without and with radioactive injectiones, CAT Scan, everything, even an EKG while I had an attack in the hospital. The technician scolded me I should relax eventhough I am a very relaxed person usually. And the nurse was ready to give me antiacids eventhough I told her I never have those problems because I cook everything myself and eat healthy. The pains are not really to describe. They are blinding and lasts at least 35 minutes.
I was treated in the Arizona Heart Institute In Casa Grande and Phoenix in Dec. 2008 because I had a spasm when we were en route from CA to AZ. They made an angiogram and found a severe narrowing of my LDA and implanted a stent. The angiogram showed that all arteries are clear, that I have no plaque. I was told, I will never have problems with that stent and it will never need to be replaced. The narrowing was most likely from birth on because I had always oxygen troubles while hiking and taking a flight of stairs i.e. The checked that stent out in the hospital in Texas 2 months ago, all fine. My cholesterol is 180, ratios are normal. 2 months after the stent implant I had a spasm and then the doctors at the Heart Institute found my gallbladder full of stones. I got the gallbladder removed, The next day they removed a wedged stone from the bile duct. At that time nobody was thinking of micro vascular problems in my case. Before all tose occurences I went to a doctor in Indio, CA, to get a prescription of Nitro Quick, at that time it looked to me like I inherited the normal Angina my mother had. I was glad I still had those subl. Nitros when I had a spasm again mid April 2009.
All those 17 spasms in July did not affect my stomach, but since beginning of Aug. I feel so much hardness and bloating in my upper stomach that I am thinking of bile stones in my liver or something like that. I never took medications in my long life, my BP is always normal or to the low side.
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? What other tests were done aside from the EKG and blood tests? Chest pains may be caused by cardiac or non-cardiac causes such as pulmonary, musculoskeletal or gastrointestinal issues like GERD. The stomach cramps may be associated with gastrointestinal issues or from cardiac causes. Further evaluation may need to be done for proper evaluation. A referral to a cardiologist for further evaluation such as 2D echo will help rule out cardiac issues. Take care and do keep us posted.
