medication sensitivities?

I have sensitivities to various medications and was wondering what might cause this, or if it could be a symptom of something else. Please note I do not have an allergic reaction. I get bad side effects at low doses. I cannot tolerate high doses of any medication. Sometimes I can only tolerate half of the lowest recommended doses. I wondered if I do not metabolize them properly or something like that.

I really don't know what's wrong with me, and I can't seem to get any doctors to listen to me or help me. I am so sick of doctors I don't even want to go to one ever again I am so frustrated. I have a whole bunch of other crazy symptoms. I am sure part of the problem is I don't have insurance right now, but I will have coverage in July. At this point though I am so frustrated I don't even want to have anything to do with doctors. :-( Maybe later when I calm down a little, and feel a bit better I will list my other symptoms. Thank you for your response, and sorry I am grumpy. I am just frustrated, and sick of being sick, and not getting any help for it. :-(

Do u have ne DX'd condition u take these meds for that u have issues with?

I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and it causes me to have absorption issues with not only vitamin supplements but also absorbing them in a natural state too.

With EDS I have had issues with meds, could take it one time, not the next...etc....and even have a med that when we went to increase it I could not tolerate it...had to back it down....

I also had this issue with BC yrs ago b4 I even knew of having this....many antihistamines also affected diff then the package suggested for side effects.
