swollen neck lymph nodes

5 days ago I suddenly woke up by a sudden pain at the back of my head. I guess i was bitten by an insect or what, i can't really tell since i haven't seen the culprit. The pain was terrible, the location of the bite felt numb and i felt the pain runs down like i was being electrified... Today, i noticed the lymph node in the left side of my neck was swollen! Is it possible that the cause of this swelling was due to that bite? Or is this a symptom of a more serious type of disease? I'm worried!

Hi

Some of the causes of swollen neck lymph nodes can be infection of the face, neck, throat, mononucleosis, or other diseases (tuberculosis etc); Swollen neck nodes are also seen in certain malignancies (e.g. oral cavity, larynx).

You should consult your doctor for evaluation and further management.

Take care and do write in if you need more information.
Regards

dont worry go to a clinic and get it checked out, the swelling sounds like its gonna increase  what are you waiting for this question is too vague for any other anwser, you could be ill not related to bite or it could be n allergic reaction go to er if worse, and you cant get to clinic
