Embarressing OMG moments-- share!

Let's share some of our embarrassing moments and see if they can at least be entertaining to others!  ha

Having an old "once upon a time having sex on a loading dock at your job after hours and hoping like hell to forget that unfulfilling encounter" come into your place of employment years later, eyes locking and you know the both of you are thinking the same thing!!

I have had many given my past!!

Mine is not as good, but we went to Middle School Orientation for parents the other day. I dressed nicely and sat in the front row. The pleasant, younger than me, male principal made a good little speech and repeated several times that we should fill in our registration packets that come in the mail well in advance, and not wait and pile in on Registration Day and try to do it.

So, to be a good academic winner and show I paid attention, at the questions section I raised my hand and asked when the packet would arrive in the mail (a point he forgot to mention), and also whether the Volunteer Coordinator collected people's data about their available skills or if the Volunteer Coordinator just had a list of volunteer opportunities. Not realizing that the whole time, when I was nodding wisely at the speakers and looking serious while getting the answers, I was wearing one pair of reading glasses on my face and one on my head. (I had thought the ones on my head were my sunglasses. Nope. My sunglasses were hanging in the neck of my dress.) I assume the Volunteer Coordinator and the principal are prospectively delighted to have that crazy-grandma looking person who wears three pairs of glasses as a parent at their school! A great first impression, not only on the staff  but on any parent who could see me. I had walked in and walked around with them like that, and talked to parents I knew like that. Didn't see they were all screwy until I got back into the car.

I'll start with a recent one.  Went to Sam's Club.  Love Sam's Club.  If you've ever been, you know it is set up almost like a warehouse.  And I, yours truly, decided spontaneously that I could use a new sports bra and they had a big bin of them.  I was rifling through trying to find the right BIG size and was holding a couple when my son's very handsome and young soccer coach comes waltzing up.  I don't know why but buying sports bras in big sizes at Sam's Club felt strange.  And having a whole discussion with the handsome coach with a fist full of undergarments at the warehouse club made me bright red.  I'm not even sure what he was saying to me because my brain kept repeating "you are holding humongous over the shoulder boulder holders at Sam's".  He finally realized he was in the area of Sams where underwear and bras were and what I was doing and also got red in the face and exited the scene.  I was feeling so hot in the cheek that I just threw all the big girl bra's back in the bin.  Hope this isn'tTMI. But why not?  Now you all have to share something, okay?
