Oh that is sad.  Makes for a funny story to tell the kids though.  hehe
There isn't too many weddings that come off without a problem.

Our rings didn't come in on time for the wedding, and so our best man, (the guy who introduced us, yay him), went and literally -conned- the people at our local James Avery into giving him a card of plastic blue ring sizers.

So we went through our wedding with plastic blue ring sizers, and the rings came...guess when?  They were dropped off at the house WHILE WE WERE AT THE CEREMONY.

The universe hates me.

here's my story.  Everything went well during the wedding itself.  But something just had to go wrong before the wedding.
I was taking my full length mirror into the church so I could ready.............. guess what happened?  I dropped the mirror and it shattered everywhere.
Then everything got better until the resception.  When I went to throw my flowers, no one caught them.  I was so mad that they purpose let it hit the floor.
Better yet on our honeymoon I got my first bladder infection I have ever had.  We were on the phone with the docs from home trying to get meds for me.  Finally I got them though.
One funny thing I saw on the way down to our honeymoon was a car that had on the back window a saying that I will never forget.  "Today she got him, tonight he'll get her"  I wonder if they are still married?
The best part of my wedding was when my parents were driving to the church my father turned the radio on, and Butterfly Kisses was playing.  Isn't that the best.
Plus my great grandma gotta see me get married before she died 5 months later.

lets see, my husband's brother (his nest man) got a dui two nights before the wedding and my sister in law and i had to go pic up my husband and her husband at the police sation at 3 am with her 2 year old daughter in the car. my husbands parents never made it to the rehersal dinner, they got lost and we had to start without them, so they were REALLY happy at the reheral dinner. bu, heres the best part, i was 4 months pregnant when we got married. i had to go back for a dress fitting every week for a month before the wedding and they had to keep letting out the dress more and more. we were suppose to have the ceremony and reception at the same place, the ceremony outside in the garden and the reception inside the banquet hall. so, i wake up the morning of my wedding to a hurricane! no lie. trees blowing, branches falling, the whole bit. i was ok with it though. grumpy and pregnant, i just wanted to get it over with. we had to figure out a way to get married inside. they've done it before, but not with as many people as i had coming. so we ended up walking down an aisle between all the tables already set up for dinner. our guests watched us get married from their dinner tables. the ushers couldn;t get the runner undone and i waited in the wings for a good 20 minutes while they tried to figure it out. during the reception, my husband gave what was suppose to be a small speech, but turned out to be a thanking of everyone in the room personally. he started on one side and worked his way around the room and before he could even get to my family's tables (not intentionally) the dj cut him off as they were about to serve dinner. my family was offended at first, but eventually got over it. it still turned out beautiful in the end, and im glad i never have to do it again.

Oh, I love this! Isn't if funny how everybody had a story to tell about their weddings!

Ok, my story is.....our preacher forgot he had a wedding!!!!! I'm not kidding! We had the rehearsal dinner and rehearsal the night before and everything went smoothly. The next day we went to the church and was getting ready and waited, and waited, and waited. The pastor never showed up! Urgent messages were left on his answering machine and nobody could find him! Finally, the church scrambled to find a pastor to fill in. We wound up being about 2 hours late with our wedding with a pastor we didn't know who didn't know us from Adam either! Meanwhile, the reception area had all this food prepared waiting for us. We finally found out that the pastor had simply forgot that he had a wedding! (I know, how the heck could he forget when we just had a rehearsal the night before??!!) He had gone to the gym to work out, went out to eat, etc. and never was home to get the messages. Yes, this was before the day of cell phones (nearly 20 years ago) so I'm really dating myself! He felt terrible about it and apologized profusely. I wasn't mad. I told him it still worked out. And that's my story! :)
