Breaking up is never easy and the other person unfortunately will feel hurt but the sooner you tell him the better for both your sakes

Ugh.  Well break ups happen and if we know that someone isn't right for us, it is the best thing.  It is hard to hurt someone that may not love but we still care for so I hear what you are saying there.  I think that you can either meet him out somewhere like a park or in his drive way (smile----- always seems a bit easier in a place that is neutral and YOU can leave when you need to) or invite him to your house.  And then just tell him that you really care for him but don't think he is the right guy for you.  You can say that you just don't have the depth of feeling you feel like you should although you do like him very much.  Then tell him that you are sorry.

You will be relieved when it is over so try to do it soon.  It is for the best because then he can find someone that really will love him and you can go on to pursue other things.  good luck
