High libido

I wanted to know what causes a high libido? I am 36 years old, I have one child, and I started having sex at 18 years old. I have had 3 serious relationships, and  in all but one relationship I was told I like sex to much. I am currently not having sex and find that I ovulate a lot. Is that due to the fact that I am not sexually active? Can I do anything about ovulating so much. As of right now I just frequent the restroom to clean because pantyliners do not work, it feels almost like I am on my period the light days of a womens cycle. I do take birth control pills because I have fibroid tumors, they do not cause me any problems the birth control pills control the bleeding.

This discussion is related to high libido.

Women only ovulate one time per cycle. It sounds to me like what you are experiencing is a lot of fertile cervical mucous. It probably has the consistency of egg whites. There's nothing wrong with it. Having a high sex drive and a lot of fertile cervical mucous would indicate something going on with your hormone levels. Especially if you also have fibroids. If you feel concerned, you can ask your doctor if what you're experiencing is normal. I think it is. You'll just need to find yourself a younger man who can go at it all day. ;o)

People have different levels of libido.  To some extent it's caused by the levels of hormones in your body, but there are probably other factors.  I'm sure it helps to have a partner at a similar level to you - it's a shame that two of your past relationships this has not been the case, I'm sure there are plenty of men who would be delighted to have a relationship with someone who is as up for it as much as you are.

Are you in a relationship right now?  Are you worried about your libido, do you consider it a problem?  Does your libido cause problems in maintaining a relationship?

See a doctor.  Anytime you have any tumor (even benign) and have changes like this get it checked out.

Smierf,  your post is confusing.  I'm not sure what specifically you're talking about when you say you "ovulate a lot" - if you are on birth control pills you shouldn't be ovulating at all.

It sounds like you need to get advice from our doc - not all pills work out for every woman.

Best wishes.

excessive vaginal discharge does not mean you're ovulating or that you have a high libido. I would go see your doctor soon.
