Like specialmom says, relax and be friendly.  There is certainly no way to manipulate the situation so she does all the work and approaching and heavy lifting of the shy barrier, which is a good thing.  If you're not ready to own up to your emotions and ask her to do something, just keep it on a friends basis.  But it might some day be worth it to you to risk a turndown by asking.

This happens.  Our insecurities sure can ruin our dating life.  :>)  I would say that I would just be friendly with her and see if she reciprocates and then just take a deep breath and ask her to do something with you. Something casual works best to test the waters.  good luck
