Deviated Septum causing illness?

by Tinkerbell89, May 26, 2008 04:34PM
I was recently informed that I have a Deviated Septum, now I know that this is a long shot, but here goes. I have been suffering from servere abdominal pain, and frequent vomiting. I've been to a Gastroenterologist, even a Urologist, and an Obgyn, just to rule everything out. So far, none of them have found anything. I've had X-rays, Catscans, MRIs, Sonograms, and an Endoscopy. So I feel that I've run out of options. I was just wondering if there could be any correlation between my Deviated Septum, and my constant illness. If anyone knows anything that'd be great. Thanks.

I have been suffering from stomach and esophageal problems for the last year and a 1/2.  I had a severely deviated septum and had a septoplasty with turbinate reduction on May 8th 2008.  My stomach is better overall compare to what I dealt with last summer but is not 100%.  I still have difficulty breathing thru my nose and believe it is contributing to my throat and stomach problems.  My GI Dr. believes it may be part of the problem as well.  Hoping I will be able to breath thru my nose better soon.  I spoke to someone about 3 weeks ago that had a septoplasty with Turbinate reduction and it took them 6 months to breath well.  I am also experiencing anxiety attacks daily as a result of the inability to breath well and stomach issues.
