Lump in the lungs

I was reading what the lady wrote about the lump in her husbands lung not being cancer and wanted to thank her. My mother went into the hospital spitting up a tiny bit of blood two days ago . Now they found a lump in her lungs. She stopped smoking about 30 years ago but had also worked in smoked filled clubs. My husband died from second hand smoke. He was a deputy sheriff but he played music all of his life and NEVER smoked. There are about five other musicians he played with that are dead now with second hang smoke related deaths. I quit smoking about 25 years ago and pray i don't have problems from it. They are taking a biopsy of my mothers lung today, so we will see? Dyan
