Lung Nemo Emphysema

My wife had Acute Asthama Attack 38 days ago and got nemo means (bursting/leak in lungs) in her left lung while on ventilator got multiplr surgical emphysema but got recovered then she developed another nemo on her right lung but not recovered yet no noticeable surgical emphysema is experience but twice clamping of chest tube has been failed doctor said that there is a surgical possibility because may be a bigger area burst situation and they discribe it like this that there are small whole which can bursted if they are spread with a distance than they can be recovered easily but if they burst next to each other it may form a bigger whole and air got traped in it and in this situation the recovery may took long and surgery is required. Your advice is required wether we may diagnose it through x-ray or ultralsound since it is not appearing in both of them.

Did they do a CT scan? That probably would be able to locate any blebs that your wife has. I hope that the pneumothorax resolves soon, that the docs figure out a way to keep her lungs inflated. Sunny
