Same Symptoms

by Peter5505, Jun 04, 2008 03:44PM
To Wendy,

your father is not alone, i have had the exact same thing happen to me. and the funny thing is i got sick on march 13th. the same day you made this post.

for me it started with a head cold, sneezing and coughing. then it turned into the worse bronchitis ive ever had. for  3 weeks solid i had gobs of phlegm coming out of my lungs. i was hospitalized on the 14th of March when it got terribly worse. i then saw a doctor after seeing that the excessive phlegm had turned into a constant ailment. like your father i am still constantly clearing my throat of Phlegm.

the first hospital visit i was told that it was the flu with acute bronchitis, but i had the phlegm after a month still, so i suaght a family doctor. he told me it could be cough variant asthma. which i though was not possible as i have no history of asthma and all this started with becoming sick with bronchitis. i then was hospitalized again after having an asthmatic like attack, and with the constant phlegm made it difficult to breath. this doctor finialy made sense and described much of what the doctor here posted.

she told me the exact same thing about RAD and that the inflimmation can last alot longer than 2 weeks. i was explaining my problems to my Ant, and she told me she had the same thing for 3 months. and even a friend at her work had the same thing for 4 months.

so im going on 3 months myself with this problem, and hope your dad feels a little comfort that hes not alone :)
