About two weeks ago, I came down with a very strange sore throatCancer - throat or larynx Throat swab culture with some drainage and my noseNose fracture ran. Prior to that I had started to recover from a staphStaph aureus food poisoning infection on a sore on my neckCervical spondylosis Head and neck glands Herpes zoster (shingles) on the neck and cheek Irritated seborrheic kerotosis - neck Lymph tissue in the head and neck. Melanoma - neck Neck lump Neck pain Neck pulse Neck x-ray Oral cancer. I was put on Keflex, and the sore on my neckCervical spondylosis Head and neck glands Herpes zoster (shingles) on the neck and cheek Irritated seborrheic kerotosis - neck Lymph tissue in the head and neck. Melanoma - neck Neck lump Neck pain Neck pulse Neck x-ray Oral cancer healed. However, the day after I was diagnosed with a sore throat and drainage, I went on a four hour boat cruise on the Detroit River. I became dizzy the moment I entered the yacht, before the boat even left the dock. For the next four hours I was walking up and down the three levels of the boat in cold wind. Towards the end of the night the boat was swaying back and forth so heavily and I was sitting up on the third deck in the cold wind. Once I got off the boat I seemed to be f ine, However, the next day, I became very dizzy if I looked to the right or left. I developed a tight pressure that started on the top of my head and traveled to my nose and face. The dizziness was bad enough for about a week, however, the second week, I have developed a fever. Hot and cold chills, and more pressure on my head and face and especially ears that comes and goes. Sometimes the pressure is very bad, and sometimes it disappears. I have no appetite, but am feeling sick all of the time. I am on my third type of antibiotic.
I was on Keflex right before the boat trip for the staph infection on my neck. Then, I was put on a z-pack which has not helped me, and now I have been on Augmentin for three days, and I still feel sick, hot and sweaty, and then freezing cold, pain and pressures in my ears, facial pressure, and pressure that squeezes in the middle of my head going down my face. Nothing is helping. I have been using a vaporizor to breath in steam.
What I don't understand, is that I had drainage before the boat trip. Once I went on the boat, the drainage stopped and I have no mucous coming from my nose at all, only pain and pressure. Why am I not responding to the antibiotics, I am now going on my third week of dizziness, pressure, fever, and feeling sick, and my third antibiotic and I am becoming very depressed. Can you help?
