chest pain while coughing
I have had a bad cold for almost two weeks. I am left with a chronic cough. I keep thinking I'm getting better and then I start to cough a lot. My latest symptom is a soreness in my upper chest muscles, front and back. The area around my sternum is particularly sore. It hurts when I cough,  do certain movements, and lay down. I am not having any trouble breathing or having shortness of breath. I have experienced muscle strain due to coughing in the past, but never in this area. Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this kind of pain before due to coughing, or does this sound like something else.
