choking

by roc148, Oct 18, 2009 12:05AM
My fahter is 86yrs old, and in the last month has been coughing so hard after eating, that he is almost vomiting. I wonder if he is aspirating food? It seems to be getting worse, and the coughing can last for hours after eating. I did mention this to his doctor, but they just shined it on, but he has had pneumonia several times and I am wondering if aspiration is the cause?
