Hello and hope you are doing well.

Costochondritis is an inflammation of the cartilage that connects a rib to the breastbone (sternum). Here the pain occurs on movement, like taking deep breaths or coughing. Costochondritis usually goes away on its own, although in some cases it may last for several months or longer. Treatment focuses on pain relief with NSAIDs and physical therapy with stretching exercises may help with the symptoms.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
