diaphragm plication
I have been told my by thoracic surgeon i may need o have a diaphragm plication. i have had an injury which caused my right hemi diaphragm to stop working properly. is there anyone out there who has ha this procedure. my surgeon won't operate until i am off the pain meds from the origianl injury. i had a fluroscopy and it showed hat the right diaphragm goes up before it goes goes back to start postion and doesn't not allow the lung to expan at all. it is a very unusual injury and i was also wondering whether the pacemaker device would be a better option.  anyone who has had either of these procedures please give me some information about recovery, success etc.  many thanks.
