fungal rhinitis/immune disorder

Since 09/08 had thick,green crusty,awful smell sinus exudate,am afebrile w/no malaise.12/08 had bilateral revision total ethmoidectomy, left frontal sinusotomy w/ENTRAK.Fungal culture neg.so ENT revised fungal dx. No fungal follow up. Had found Psuedomonas in Maxillary sinus,and Rx Cipro. fungal came back 3 weeks postop. Second ENT confirmed last week definite fungal rhinitis, Said need more sinus surgery.Will be 4th.He won't touch b/c no experience.  I know that is protocol along with steroids and monthly checkups. Every time try sinus rinse it goes to my ears and hurts. Tried sinus flip, same thing.  Am concerned that asthma exacerbated. even on Advair 500, Singulair and Flonase. Am now titrating down from 20mg prednisone b/c of asthma. Question is how did my immune system get so run down, should I have house tested? Does it matter re house since I am living on  Central Il farm. Can exposure to chemicals stored in basement (now gone, but soaked in concrete) or Chlordane in soil  foundation do this? Over yrs, fewer outward signs of allergies, more increased fatigue and foggy brain. Also, who should follow me? A/Immunology, ENT, both, and is there a clinic that specializes in fungal sinusitis? 3rd ENT would be centrl IL. Have BCBS PPO and want Dr.experienced w/disease 50yroldsinglmomof twoboyswhoneedme!
