too much air?

my 13 year old son has complained for several years he feels like there is too much air in his lungs, especially during exercise, should i be concerned?

Tell him to this pranayam about 10 times.Excess stale air in the lungs will be expelled.
Kapalbhati pranayam - Push air forcefully(as if something is stuck in the nose) out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically.
We do not exhale enough air, during involuntary breathing, so need to do some voluntarily.
