bad rhinoplasty

I had a rhinoplasty about 10 month ago. I had an asymmetric nose (crocked to the right) a very small bump and pointy tip that was a bit down. The surgeon preformed cartage alternations (open surgery) in order to straight up the nose and some major tip ‘job’. After 10 month the tip of the nose still very swollen  and the nose is still asymmetric. I have trouble to breathe and I’m making strange noises while tiring. There is a hole in my cartage that goes through and its very disturbing. I am very unhappy with the results.  The surgeon said that he will perform the revision operation but I don’t trust him anymore after what he’s done. Can I demand a refund so I can contact a deferent surgeon that specialized in revision rhinoplasty, what are my options?

You should ask him for a refund, or for a referral to another doctor and have him pay for it.

If you have insurance, you may want to contact them. Rhinoplasty is covered by insurance if it is to fix significant nasal obstruction. For, example, if you have a deviated septum, can only breathe out of 50% of nose, or have symptoms of rhinosinusitus. Check with your insurance company to see their policy, then look into the database of doctors covered by your insurance, look up best ones, go to them showing you need a nosejob, and they will contact your insurance company, and hopefully they will cover at least part of it.
