They advised you to take it because you had BV (non-std related matter), also in case your test ight have missed it. If I were in your position I would taken the medication. Your boyfriends' chlamydia result will let you know to what extent you need(ed) it.
I'm still split on this. I have the medication at home but don't want to take it unless necessary. I'm thinking I should either wait and see how his chlamydia test comes back or can they test me for NGU at my doctor's office?
we don't recommend treating the partner when a male partner has ngu. definitely ruling out chlamydia is important but otherwise it's not an issue most times for the female partner. I assume you treated your bv properly already?
You both probably want to use condoms for a few weeks just to err on the side of caution.
you don't need any further testing done.
