Worried that I have an STD
I am a 20 year old female. I broke up with my supposedly monogamous boyfriend of nearly 5 years 2 months ago. Since then I have had sex with 2 other partners. One partner used a condom every time we had sex. However, we both gave eachother unprotected oral sex. The other partner did not use a condom and we both gave eachother unprotected oral sex.
I am currently experiencing mild itching and burning of my cervix and vaginal area. Also, my urethra hurts when wiping but not while passing urine. My genitals also appear red and irritated. These symptoms have been going on for 4 days. I have yet to find any lumps or bumps other than a general "pimple-like" texture across my entire labia, but this appearance is normal for me. Also, I'm not experiencing any foul smell or discharge, on the contrary my vagina feels quite dry. I was worried that it could be herpes, but everyone says that the first outbreak is usually quite severe, with bumps or sores appearing only 1 or 2 days after discomfort begins. Is it possible that I could have sores inside my cervix that I can't see? If t's not herpes, what could it be? Could it be a mere yeast infection? I am going to my university women's center tomorrow to be screened for std's, but does anyone have some helpful insight in the meantime?

This doesn't sound like herpes at all. You're right it would be much more painful and miserable. This does in fact sound like a yeast infection something that can be common when suddenly having a new sex partner or having sex more regularly than you're used to. The docs will be able to give you a full answer tomorrow though. Good luck.
