please help
i recently had sex in which it was the first time in 7 months. we used a latex condom. 2 says later i noticed a smell in vagaina and really bas itching. then a few days later i noticed small cuts that trned into sores that looks like canker sores. its been a week now and then are so wet and now have a little white in them. i went to get tested and the lady said possibile herpes. i stated meds for it but nothing is scabing over still wet. i am still itching bad and the sores hurt so bad when i go pee. my test is not in yet can this really be herpes

Yes, you can take meds daily if you choose to.
You can take valtrex (expensive but convenient with once a day dosing) or acyclovir (way cheaper but you have to take it twice a day). If you have insurance, either is fine.
That can help prevent future outbreaks, and help reduce transmission if its type 2.
Another reason to find out if its type 1 or 2, is that 50% of those who have genital type 1 will never get another outbreak, so they might decide to not use meds. Those that do get outbreaks again usually have them infrequently. I think the average is 1 every year or every other year. The average for type 2 without meds is 4-6 a year.

one more thing, should i take a medicine everyday after my outbreak is over. are their pills out that can help stop outbreals , like valtrex

If they won't, in a few months, get a type specific IgG blood test and find out. This guy can also get a type specific IgG blood test NOW and find out what type he has. If he has only one type, then that will tell you what type you have, most likely.
He can have it and not know it, so he might be telling you the truth. Many people don't know they have it until they transmit it to someone else who gets symptoms.

i went to planned parenthood, they took a cutip thing to my sore down their. i waited a week found out yesterday. they said they dont get which type of herpes because of funding. when i told my friend about it he said oh wow im sorry can i see you again. he said he didnt know he had it. hes not acting surprised at all. anyways i am in shouck i feel like im dirty. i cant belive this. do i need to know what type? she said i have it on my cervic too.

What testing did you have done? Did they do a culture? If they did, did they tell you what type you have? If they didn't, call them back and ask what type it is. You can get genital type 1 from oral sex, and genital type 2 from sex. The transmission rates are different for each type, so its important to know what type you have.

okay so my test came back positive. i cant believe i have herpes never thought it would happon to me!! my question is that if 5 days after i had sex with a guy somewhat unprotected could it be showing up this fast?

I believe the time frame is about 2 weeks for them to scab up if it's herpes.
You should get everything looked at because you are very worried and getting a definate answer from an exam or test will be best for you.

I know you are scared, but really - it could be anything, and until you test for the rest, you won't know for sure.

i forgot to mention about 1 month bfore i had sex with this guy i had bad itching and discharge from a yeast i seriously kept my hands down my pants scrating it over and over. do you think that if the yeast infection never cleared up and the friction from the condom caused the sores please anything but herpes!!!

I think you need to cover all your bases, and test for yeast, bacterial vaginosis, etc. It is possible its something else, but the info I gave about easing the pain with peeing will help regardless.
A bad yeast infection can cause irritation and sometimes sores. Anything that causes irritation to the skin can cause this.
If it is herpes, its possible you got it from the ex, but the timing would make it more likely you got it from the most recent guy, though.

oh and i wasent tested for anything else. i think i should get a infection test for yeast or bv right? or do these type of sores not cause them?
i have looked and the pictures dont look like herpes. how could this happen so fast? when do the sores stop hurting and scab up? i have like 4 or 5. its like a line of them starting from vagina down to the but area? could this be a bacterial infection i was on amoxicillin for my thourt. im going crazy i cant live like this. my question is do yeast and bacterial cause these? i dont uderstand why if it is herpes , they are not scabbing up because im on the herpes meds sience tuesday morning. also would it be possible to have cought this 6 months ago from my x husband and now just be getting it?
