what kind of infection ?
after protected sexual contact and attending water festival i started having penile discharge which looked clear, doc gave me amoxillin 1g for 7 days without any tests, still symptoms were there so he advice me to take same med for 7 days more, no improvement. then he gave me azithromycin 1g and inj rocephin (ceftriaxone) 1g.
discharge turned milky and was in very less amount, after 7 days i got severe rectal pain (inflamation) , urethral pain, severe cough with phlegm, chills, shivering, fever, docs did sputum culture and find pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus,cocci, i got admit in hospital docs gave me meropenem inj with doxycycline and klacid for 8 days. but my symptoms were not gone, after a month i felt abit better but symptoms were urethral pain, testicular pain, knee and ankle pain, dry cough and itchy lungs, extreme pressure in head above ears, headache, fatigue. all stds and cultures came negative even after 5 months except semen culture which showed staphylococcus aureus resistant to almost all antibiotics except vancomycin. then i was given vancomycin inj for 8 days , and now after 8 days i am still having all the symptoms, i am fed up of using antibiotics and going to the docs, dunno what to do. last week i have got fungal skin infection on my back chest face and scalp. tons of blood test done all are normal, now doc told me to use ciprofloxacin for 10 days, its day 4 without any improvement, lost around 13 lbs, any suggestions?

levaquin 750mg for 10 days is what finally cured my prostatitis

i had levaquin 500mg for 10 days but no improvement, cipro doesnt seems to work either, hope doc find the right antibiotic for me soon :(
You have acute bacterial prostatitis, I had it also and it took multiple tries to cure it. Antibiotics don't reach the prostate that well. They should proscribe an antibiotic that's effective against the bacteria since they were able to culture it. I've been down the same path as you my friend. It took 4 antibiotics to eliminate mine and from all the antibiotics I got balantis a yeast infection on my penis
