A yeast infection is not an std by classification. If a man has sex with a woman who has a yeast infection, yes, he can get it as well. But a man can also get a yeast infection without having sex with a woman who has one. The reason it is not considered an std is because every living person has some yeast in their bodies. When the natural balance is upset, then you have an overgrowth- a yeast infection.
