Red Spots?

My boyfriend and I recently had unprotected sex. The next day we both had tiny, red dots on our hands and feet. They are not bumps, and they do not itch or hurt like a bruise. They are just there. Even though it has only been two days, I'm really worried. What could it possibly be? Did I give enough information?

It is getting better.
I've been sick since last Thursday, but there's a virus going around. My mum said we will go to the doctor soon.

OK then that makes it less likely to be syphilis, but I think you do need to get it checked.

Is it getting any better?

I have not noticed any sores in either places, or on any place of my body.

Yeah check under Dept of Health, or google your town, state and std clinics.

If you need help with that, let me know.

Usually, a syphilis rash happens in the secondary stage, and that can be anywhere from 1 to 6 months after infection, though its most common at about 6-8 weeks.  Have you noticed any sores in your mouth or on your genitals?  That would be the first stage.

Again, I'm not saying its syphilis, and its not all that likely, but I think you need to get it checked.

I know of a local women's clinic, but I don't know of any STD clinic. Could they be found in the phone book?

I told him it could be serious, but he said I am probably just getting paranoid over the whole thing.

How fast do syphilis rashes appear after sexual encounters?
The red dots are also beginning to disappear.

Well, most std clinics are free or very low cost, and they don't turn people away for lack of ability to pay.  They even have evening hours if that helps.

Sweetie, if your bf thinks you both have mosquito bites in winter in the exact same places, he's out of his mind lol.  If he laughs at something that concerns you health wise, he doesn't have your best interests at heart.

Don't worry about him right now, and just take care of you.  My only concern is that this is a syphilis rash, though its not terribly likely.

I didn't know that. I knew that girls can get birth control without parental notification or consent, but I didn't know that we could get tested and treated as well.

My sister said she could possibly take me, but I'm sure the appointment would cost something, right? The test as well. I am currently waiting to get a job, but it may be weeks until I get a call.

Unfortunately, my boyfriend thinks it's only mosquito bites. I know they are not mosquito bites. I'm sure he would go with me if I asked him to, though.

Oh ok - well in the US, most states have laws for minors to get tested and treated for stds without parental notification or consent.

Can your sister or bf take you?  It would be great if you and your bf could go to together.

"Me mum" was a typo. I meant "my mum." Sorry about that. I talked to my sister about it, and she also thinks I should get it checked out right away.
My mum is always busy with work, though, so she wouldn't have time to bring me.

I'm located in the United States.

I think you should get checked right away.

I'm not sure where you are located - "me mum" makes me think Ireland or the UK.  If you are in Ireland, just call a clinic and ask what the laws are.

I'm not sure of the laws in Ireland, but I do know that you can go to a GUM clinic in the UK and get treated and they won't tell your parents.

We haven't been together for even a year yet. If I go to get this checked out, and it's a result of sexual activity, would the doctor have to tell me mum? I am only in high school.
Also, should I wait a few days to see if it clears up or should I get it checked out right away?

This is way too soon for an std to appear, but you both should get this checked out.

How long have you been together?  It sounds like it might be an allergic reaction, or maybe even a syphilis rash, but the odds of you getting that the very same time are slim.
