Chance chlamydia

Couple of years ago I had sex with a woman. We used a condom. She was on top and when she come off of me the condom was hanging out of her vagina.

I was scared and did a chlamydia urine test after 9 days. It came back negative.  Now I see that I have to wait 2 weeks (according to all the testing labs here in holland)

My question is. Was my test accurate? I didn’t  got symptoms, but I’m scared I gave it to my partner. She got some belly issues.

So this encounter was about 2 years ago? Even if you did have it, symptoms would have shown long before now, either in you or partner. But a test at 9 days should show any infection. The chances are you were protected the whole time, but on withdrawal from your encounter, the condom just slipped off.

It’s almost 7 years ago. But why do they (lab tests and doctors in holland) say that you have to wait 2 weeks for testing?
Oh 7 years ago? Yeah, by now you'd have been very sick - as would your partner - if you had an untreated infection like gonorrhea or chlamydia.

The time frames are different by country, and I don't know why. Most experts in the US say 5 days. Most European countries and the UK say 2 weeks. At 9 days, your tests would be accurate.

You can let this go now. If you can't, just go test again, but also, maybe seek some therapy to help you work through the guilt of it all. I suspect that's what is keeping you stuck on this.
Thank you for putting my mind at rest.

My partner got her cervix checked out and the doctor saw some abnormal cells. So I got scared and was worrying that I gave here a std. (thank you google). It can also mean nothing, or cancer. I hope everything is ok.
Abnormal cells on the cervix can mean anything from a yeast infection to HPV to cancer, though it depends on what the test results say.

It can also mean absolutely nothing. If you had sex close to her testing, or she had her period, or she used anything internally, it could also give those results.

No need to panic. They'll either tell her to come back in for more testing now, or just watch and monitor with future testing - again, depending on what the results say.

This is a very common finding on pap smears. I'm sure she'll be fine. :)
