Moluscum Treatments and time to recovery

I just visted my doctor in regards to some small red bumps between my legs that I had originally attributed to razor burn. She said it was moluscum and now I am really anxious about telling my partner. I know that molluscum isn't necessarily transmitted sexually and that I could have gotten it from a variety of sources, but I feel horribly guilty about the fact that I may have unknowingly exposed my partner (although I do also realize they could have infected me). So I want to make sure when I bring up the conversation that I am well informed about treatment options, their effectiveness and length to recovery. Any advice would be very appreciated, thank you!

Additionally I'm curious if size iof bumps makes any difference in treatment effectiveness and time. Mine are very small and I'm wondering if treatment might be faster or more effective for small bumps compared to bigger ones
