Symptoms after sex

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for about 6 months. After roughly 80% of sex without any contraception (usually about 2 days later) I notice I experience head cold symptoms that last about 1-2 days then go.

I find this odd because I usually have an amazing immune system and never get ill - I rarely get a cold and only had flu once in 40 years, never even had any childhood illnesses- so I guess I notice this more. He is always suffering from some ailment.

What do you think it is that causing this?

I don't want to over react but was thinking about going to get tested for hiv- which is probably overreacting!
