Ghonorrea testing - urine or anal swab??

Hello,
I got rimmed by a guy and a few weeks later developed an itch in my anus, mostly at night.
Not sure if that is from getting rimmed or from a smaller hemerroid?
Before getting panicked - i went for a full std screening. All came negative. BUT they tested for ghonorrea and chlamidya on my urine sample.
Is it possible that only an anal swab could give me a real answer? Im slightly freaked out. Anyone, please let me know.
Thank you!!

Yes, if you got rimmed, you need an anal swab.

Also, an easy exam can tell if you have hemorrhoids. Did you get an exam, or just testing? If you only got testing and no exam, just make an appt with your doctor. Hemorrhoids are really common. I know it's maybe embarrassing for you, but your doctor has seen 1000s of them.

The risk is really low from rimming, so if you want to get get a cream for hemorrhoids and try that before testing, that would be a reasonable choice, too.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply.
The hemorrhoids cream has helped a great deal, and the tingling in my anus happens only a few times during the day. But less and less… Would ghonorrea disappear like that by itself?
Wish i knew to ask for an anal swab before i went in for testing :-(
But it sounds by your opinion i have nothing to worry about?
Lastly, purely medical question - let’s say if there is ghonorrea present in my anus, would i be able to spread it to my girlfriend even though I dont seem to have any symptoms in my penis (discharge, itchiness)? And in that case would it be able to test it via urine sample?
Thank you!
Gonorrhea can disappear, but it can take months, and untreated gonorrhea can also cause serious complications, so I can't advise anyone to just wait it out.

In order to transmit it to your gf, you'd need to have a urethral infection, in which case, it would be found in your urine.

I'd honestly not worry if I were you. It sounds like hemorrhoids and/or anxiety.
Thank you!
