H. Hunter Handsville M.D. ???

You say that it's virtually impossible to contract Syphilis from kissing?  All I'm reading on different health sites is that that isn't true.  So is it or isn't it?  While my husband and I were separated I made out with someone at a bar while I was drunk, other than that I had no physical contact with anyone again.  My husband on the other hand, slept with two women.  We got back together 4 and a half months ago and he just started having symptoms of syphilis, his doctor says it looks like it is but the tests haven't come back.  We haven't slept together in 2 months since he's on a deployment and he swears up and down he hasn't cheated on me and I believe him.  I know him.  Anyways, could I have contracted it through kissing that guy at the bar then given it to my husband who is just now getting symptoms?  Or did he have to have gotten it from someone else?
